The School at Columbia University

Columbia University has a long history of establishing schools alongside its tertiary education programmes (see Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School and Horace Mann School) and, in 2003, established a new elementary school to cater for the needs of faculty and community. The school is a private school, however, many students from the local community and from faculty are afforded places with full financial aid on a lottery basis. The school's name is often abbreviated to TSC.
