The Private School Athletic Association (PSAA) is an interscholastic athletics conference whose members are amongst the leading independent private and prep schools in New York State, centred around New York City. The conference was formally established in 1986 and offers a range of varsity sports. Many PSAA schools are members or associates of the prestigious New York Interschool consortium.

Originally an all-boys grammar school in the classic Latin tradition, Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School was attached to Columbia University until 1864.
